Camp outcome
At the heart of the camp lies a series of hands-on activities where participants will engage in 3D design and printing of custom chassis for miniature race cars that will teach them the basics of 3D design and modelling.
Campers will also be exposed to the science and technology that allows for modern vehicles to navigate and make decisions autonomously which will give them an insight into the role of AI and sensors in the development of autonomous driving vehicles.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be introduced to fundamental engineering principles through building of a wind-up car, exploring key engineering and physics concepts including tension and propulsion.
Participants will exercise creativity in car design by designing their supercar using modelling clay.
Participants will learn about 3D design and printing by modifying and customising the chassis for a miniature RC race car for use in racing.
Participants will gain an understanding of autonomous car technology through hands-on experimentation using LEGO robotics. Participants will learn about safety and responsibility in engineering throughout the course of activities.
